Specialized services

At our centre personal care is given to the patients with out any mediator in between the patient and the doctor.

Some of the treatments offered at our centre are:

Untitled15Donor Insemination
It is also known as DI in which sperm from the donor is used to help a woman to get pregnant. The sperm donor is screened for sexually transmitted diseases and to detect certain kind of genetic disorders. The donor’s sperm is placed right into the neck of the womb which is the cervix, right at the time when woman ovulates.
Surrogacy
It simply means ‘renting a womb’ in which an arrangement is made between a healthy fertile woman and would-be parents to carry their child. The surrogate mother is known as gestational carrier and usually the couples make this agreement privately or with the help of fertility clinics. There are lot of emotional tie-ups associated with it.
Untitled16In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
It is a process in which eggs are manually fertilized by putting together an egg and a sperm in a laboratory dish. When this procedure is successful then it is combined with another process known as embryo transfer, which is done by placing the embryo into the uterus.
Untitled17Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection
It is also known as ICSI and is an in vitro fertilization procedure in which a single sperm is injected directly into an egg. It is one of the common procedures to overcome male infertility issues and can be used in cases where sperm fail to penetrate into the egg. This procedure falls under Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).

Percutaneous epidiymal sperm aspiration (PESA)

For the zero sperm count (azoospermia) man, sperm can be retrieved in some cases from the portion above the testis called the epididymis for example in cases of congenital ab-sence of the vas deferens – a condition in which both the tubes transporting sperm to the exterior are absent from birth. The sperm thus retrieved by our expert  can then be used for injecting the wife’s oocytes by ICSI and thereby help give the coule their own biological offspring. Our centre maintains pregnancy rates per cycle for PESA – ICSI in the range of 34% and take home baby rates in the range of 27% per cycle.

Testicular sperm aspiration (TESA)

For some patients with a zero sperm count (azoospermia), sperm can often be retrieved directly from the testes using a fine needle aspiration technique – immature sperm thus retrieved can then be matured in vitro and injected into the wife’s oocytes by ICSI to achieve a viable pregnancy and livebirth. Patients can be confident about a 25 – 20% take home baby rate with this revolutionary method too.

Intracytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection (IMSI):

This process takes ICSI to next level because sperm is directly injected into the egg and transferred into the womb. In this procedure powerful microscope is used to magnify the sperm to about 7000 times. This gives a detailed analysis of the sperm so that you can select the best one for ICSI procedure.

Cryopreservation in India It is a process in which cells and whole tissues are preserved by cooling in low temperature which can be 77K or -196 degree centigrade. At such temperatures any biological activity will cease. It is one of the safest procedures to preserve both pre-implantation embryos and sperm which can be revived easily.

EMBRYO CRYOFREEZING / VITRIFICATIONUntitled18

Successful cryofreezing of eggs, sperms and embryos has a track record of over 60 years. The first pregnancy in humans derived from frozen-thawed embryos was in 1983. With approximately one quarter of a million babies born following cryopreservation, this technology has become a widely used and well-established routine procedure for successful IVF.

The latest technique of freezing embryos is by vitrification rather than conventional slow freezing which has helped increase the success rates from a mere 25% to almost 55-60% with vitrified-thawed embryos. At  Apex IVF Center, we are providing this facility in its latest form, hence increasing the success rates upto 50-60% by vitrified thawed embryos.

It is our endeavour now to vitrify some embryos for every patient who avails of IVF or ICSI at our centre.
